Derby and Darcy-Recycled Dreams (available for acquisition)

DerbyAndDarcy-RecycledDreams cover

Derby and Darcy-Recycled Dreams is a thirty page illustrated children’s book depicting two brothers who, on a visit to their aunt’s beach-side home, discover rubbish on the beach; setting fire to their imaginations. From sailing the seven seas to exploring the universe, they set out to put litter in its place, and at the same time, invent and construct modern art, space ships, and monsters of the deep.

As the author and illustrator, Linton is looking forward to making this a series of Derby and Darcy adventures in environmentally conscious books.

This is sure to get the wheels turning in every child’s head that reads or has it read to them. In the spirit of Chitty-Chitty, Bang-Bang and The Iron Giant, Linton encourages us to recycle, reuse, and make sure that what cannot be is taken to the garbage dump is not discarded about the earth. Respecting the environment and our neighbors across the planet should start at a young age. Derby and Darcy are only just beginning to show us the way we all can make a difference.

Derby and Darcy use their imagination to go on wild adventures in the most mundane of times. No matter when or where, they are off enjoying an amazing voyage for sure.
