The pains from our past shouldn’t define us, but prepare us to do good works. Missing Pieces is a suspenseful mystery that grabs the reader from beginning to end. A young man with a painful past becomes a light for others, determined to do what’s right no matter what the cost. A strong and powerful message intertwined in a compelling mystery. I couldn’t put it down.

Missing Pieces is hard to put down. You want to keep reading and find the answers to the mystery. This book encourages young people and adults to be kind to one another because you do not know the circumstances affecting others’ lives. It also illustrates you can triumph over hard times in your life and shares positive messages throughout. I love that Jace and Cailey use a plethora of problem-solving skills to solve the mystery including math.

Unbelievably gripping! I was hooked from the first page of nonstop action. With never a dull moment from start to finish, I couldn’t find a good place for my bookmark. The real life characters drew me in, commanding my attention, forcing me to finish the book in two days. I can’t wait to share this book with my students! This story rings true with too many children these days. What a great asset for counselors and teachers to break the ice, while talking about this thriller. I can see Missing Pieces saving the life of an endangered child caught up in the suspense of this thriller.
Best book I’ve read this decade!

It is about time someone wrote a YA that real kids can relate to! Jace’s situation can and does happen, so it is believable. Lewis’ way of handling the emotions and consequences in the story are EMPOWERING. Teens should be given credit for their knowledge and making the right decisions. Positive reinforcement and encouragement go a long way. I simply must read all of his works and buy them for the young people in my life. Highly recommended.

Definitely for young adults, I may be a bit over the intended age but reading a story by one of my favorite teachers made it all the more exciting still.
Very entertaining; a good read.
I loved the book! The story flowed well, and I found my self unable to put it down!
The title of this book intrigued me along with the cover. I enjoyed reading about young teens and their adventures. This story includes murder, child abuse and child endangerment. It is a book you will want to read and not put down.
This is a wonderful book targeting a middle school audience. Great mystery, well-written characters, with a great message. Would be great for discussion in a classroom, as well as for fun reading. I am an adult and enjoyed the fast pace of the storyline.
