A work of anecdotes, humor, satire, and great imagination! One learns much of the characters of fine literature, is amusingly entertained, and left wanting more. Millennials will love it, as well as their parents. Don Quixote, Huck Finn, Sherlock Holmes, de Bergerac, etc. are meshed with history (The Titanic) and pop culture (Star Trek, “It’s all good!” and modern conveyances) to keep you guessing how they would ever get back on track with their quest. An enticing kibble to keep you wanting more.

Antonio Banderas would be a great Candide and Bill Nighy the Don!

The year 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of Miguel de Cervantes’ death. It is also the year that the ingenious gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha sets off on another quest. This time, his traveling companion is none other than the optimist-turned-pragmatist, Candide, of El Dorado fame, who narrates the story.

In this picaresque parody, Don Quixote and Candide encounter other literary figures of note during their pursuit for truth and justice. Cyrano de Bergerac is now a train conductor. Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson are still in the business of crime detection. Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are somewhat shady business partners operating a rafting/salvage/used auto enterprise. Dean Moriarty is on the road seeking redemption for past sins and sins yet to be committed. Don Quixote and Candide even hitch a ride on a minibus with the crew of the S.S. Enterprise, on yet another mission to save Earth from imminent annihilation. Other remarkable names seem to pop-up randomly, yet not so, to keep you turning pages.
