By way of introduction, I make my home in a very tiny, 300-person town in Ohio, with my daughter and my three small dogs. I have been a published author since the age of fourteen, and after nearly three decades of working in offices, I left my nine-to-five in Cubicle Land to begin working full time as an independent book editor, something I’d been doing on the side since my young adult years. Since 2009, I have edited nearly 600 books, in a variety of genres and topics, for authors and publishers worldwide. As a published author myself, I have a great passion for helping other writers, and my editing work allows me to do just that while also giving me a creative outlet.
My rates for comprehensive/substantive editing (which includes proofreading, copy editing, etc., as I do not split up my service at levels) are $2.00/300 words. I require 20% down, but for anyone who prepays in full, I gladly give 10% discounts.
