Jodie Cain Smith, award-winning author and Alabama native, will be at the Grove Hill Cultural Arts Center 124 Main St, Grove Hill, AL 3645 (251) 275-4278 on September 13, 2-4 p.m. With an author chat, book club discussion, reception, and book signing, the event promises to be an afternoon of literary entertainment.

Selected as a Book of the Year by BooksandAuthors.com and a Kindle Book Review 2016 Semifinalist, Smith’s debut novel The Woods at Barlow Bend follows Hattie Andress after her mother is killed in a strange hunting incident in Barlow Bend, Alabama.
