Loiacono Literary Agency takes on Jodie Cain Smith’s Jubilee Bells!
Jubilee Bells is not only being represented by LLA, but Deer Hawk Publications has already acquired it for its 2016 release!
Jubilee Bells
Every human being faces loss. Every family is vulnerable. Every nation could crumble. What matters is the aftermath.
In the aftermath of a catastrophic cyber terrorism attack on the United States, Jules Martin Jones is left a widow. Forced to evacuate the home she had shared with her husband Jacob, she retreats to her childhood home in Bellefountaine, Alabama, on the shores of Mobile Bay. Alongside her family, she becomes caught in the growing war between a powerful militia and a weakened U.S. Army. Surrounded by devastation and immersed in grief, Jules meets the person who could make her whole again. Will she recognize the love she needs? Will she be able to save her family before everything and everyone she loves is destroyed?
Jodie Cain Smith was born in Mobile, Alabama, but now calls South Carolina home. Her first novel, The Woods at Barlow Bend, is now available courtesy of Deer Hawk Publications. Her work has appeared in Chicken Soup for the Military Spouse’s Soul, The Petigru Review, and the Fort Hood Sentinel. Jodie also penned the column Married to the Military for the Savannah Morning News. Jodie eagerly awaits the release of her second novel, Jubilee Bells, due out in 2016 from Deer Hawk Publications. JERRY ALLEN
Jerry Allen is one of those guys who is intelligent, handsome (not in a rugged way), witty and attracts women who possess a maternal instinct. Courteous to a fault, he is insecure around strong women thus is drawn to Linda Baldwin, a quiet, dependent type from an upper middle class family. She is spoiled, always pampered by her parents and a good match for Jerry as she never challenges him.
A follower rather than a leader, Jerry is shocked out of his comfort zone when fate makes him the protector of two women while lost in the wilds of the Smoky Mountains and pursued by a psychopath. Can Jerry measure up to the task?

This month Maris Soule will be blogging every day (with the exception of Sundays). She has taken the A-to-Z Challenge. There are over 1000 authors who will try to have a blog using each letter of the alphabet (in order) posted on the appropriate day of the month. A for April 1st. B for April 2nd. And finally Z on April 30th.
Please stop by and see what her pick is to talk about for each of those days.

Today’s blog, to continue the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge, will be about borrowing: borrowing ideas, borrowing styles of writing, borrowing ways to describe a scene. Borrowing, not copying. Let’s face it, we all borrow. They say there are no new plots. (How many is debated.) Whatever we come up with has … Continue reading →
