Author, screenplay writer, editor, TV/film producer and mother to three beautiful daughters, Katherine Yu has written this book to help other parents in the same situation. She understands the worries, fears, confusion, anger, denial, frustration and other emotions autistic children’s parents feel.
Refusing to acquiesce, she faced the challenge and was able to unlock Sylvia’s world through art. At age three, Katherine put colored-pencils and paper in front of Sylvia (now ten-years-old) who began to express herself through drawing, proving to be a monumental break-through.
