I’m a newcomer to reading romance novels but A GENTLE SUN COMING kept my interest from first page to last. Kade is a thoroughly likable, admirable heroine who finds within herself the strength to survive a great tragedy that pushes her to the brink of ending her life. Yet somehow, she discovers new reasons to live and find happiness, despite enduring sheer horror at the hands of a madman. Kade is a woman we root for and celebrate with and want to see more of. I’m glad I met her through Maryann Wakefield’s eyes and am delighted the sequel is in the works. I’ll be first in line.
