Loiacono Literary Agency takes on John L. Flynn’s biography The Girl in the Silver Bikini:The Life and Times of Angelique Pettyjohn—Showgirl, Actress, and Star Trek Siren!

Showgirl. Stripper. Scream Queen. Star Trek Siren. Actress. Dancer. Model. Porn Star. Femme Fatales. Comedian. Playboy Pet. Wife. Mother. Friend. During her thirty-year career on stage and screen, Angelique Pettyjohn played each of these roles at least once. The last of the great starlets, she was molded and shaped to be the next Marilyn Monroe, becoming instead a cultural icon who represented old Hollywood and old Vegas. While she readily embraced the image, Pettyjohn also worked hard to shake that stereotype, producing some truly outstanding work as an actress. A brief affair with the King of Rock-n-Roll, when she was just eighteen-years-old, produced Elvis Aaron Presley Junior, her one and only child. Besides Elvis, Angelique had affairs with dozens of famous celebrities as part of the Sunset Blvd/LA Party scene in the Swinging 60s. She faced her own share of demons as well, including alcoholism, drug abuse, and sex addiction. Beloved by Star Trek fans for her memorable role in the original series, her career experienced a resurgence as she began appearing at Star Trek conventions in the eighties. On her deathbed, she begged me, as her only friend and confidant, to tell her wild and improbable story. This book is that story.
