Lin Waterhouse, author of Bred to the Bone — Deadly Secrets at Hunter’s Mill, The Ghost of Timmy Wahl Eternal Secrets at Hunter’s Mill and The West Plains Dance Hall Explosion, is included as one of the top ten Ozarks writers in “Ozarks Noir: Why pop culture loves rural Missouri”!! http://www.kansascity.com/entertainment/arts-culture/article196716564.html

Although Waterhouse was a professional writer for magazines, newspapers, and periodicals, her first foray in books was The West Plains Dance Hall Explosion, the story and history behind the still unsolved Bond Hall explosion/fire Friday, April 13, 1928 in West Plains, Missouri (The History Press).

Her next two were based on some truth, some folklore, and a whole lot of imagination set at the original Hodgson’s Water Mill in Sycamore, Missouri; famous for Hodgson’s Flour — Bred to the Bone — Deadly Secrets at Hunter’s Mill and The Ghost of Timmy Wahl — Eternal Secrets at Hunter’s Mill (Argus Publishing). One a murder and the other a paranormal mystery, both center around Caroline Hudson, a widow who moves to the Ozarks to start over but ends up stirring up a hornets’ nest of feelings and history most locals wish left be. The Ghost of Timmy Wahl was based on a legend derived from a horrific accident that took the life of Judson Warren at Hodgson’s Water Mill; pictured below with his dog, Patch.

Waterhouse, a resident of West Plains, Missouri, is open to speaking engagements, book signings, and book club meetings. Her passion is opening the hearts and minds of readers to the wonders of her second love, the Ozarks. (Her first is, of course, her husband, Dave.) She is represented by Loiacono Literary Agency.
