Mississippi University for Women invites Johnnie Bernhard, author of A Good Girl, to give a presentation on the submission process.
Professor Kendall Dunkelberg, Mississippi University for Women professor and director of the Creative Writing low-residency MFA, has invited Johnnie Bernhard to give a presentation on the submission process in traditional publishing on June 1, 2016 at the MUW campus in Jackson, MS. I will also offer pitch sessions for the students. He has graciously invited her back once A Good Girl is published (Texas Review Press, 2017).
Professor Dunkelberg’s most recent work, Barrier Island Suite, was published by Texas Review Press. The collection of poetry is inspired by Ocean Springs’ artist, Walter Anderson. The book cover for A Good Girl is designed by Ocean Springs’ artist, Grady Byrd. The Mississippi Gulf Coast has been my home since Hurricane Katrina and also serves as part of the setting for the novel. Serendipity!
